UPDATE DECEMBER 13, 2017: Dan Peckman, Principal at Yeshiva Toras Chaim (YTC) all=boys school in Denver wrote a "full page reference in glowing terms", "without a single negative comment or concern" on behalf of Jackson, despite having full knowledge of his confession and the multiple allegations of child sexual abuse. Dan Peckman also wrote a follow-up email in July, 2017 to confirm the positive recommendation.
When asked about the recommendation, Rabbi Ahron Y. Wasserman from YTC wrote on November 29, 2017: "As far as any reference for Mr. Jackson, the school has not made any such reference that you are speaking or that we are being accused of."
At least partially based on YTC's recommendation, Jackson was hired at Tendring school in England, where he was released within two weeks of teaching following a complaint filed against him.
Unfortunately, this is a fairly common practice in U.S. education called "passing the trash". This USA Today article investigates the practice of schools offering positive recommendations for teachers with a history of sexually abusing their students.
