UPDATE: January 8, 2024 - MYERS IS NOW A CONVICTED FELON for insurance fraud. He was arrested in Colorado in July, 2023 for insurance fraud (Class 5 Felony in CO) and theft. He spent one night in jail. Today, Myers’ pled guilty and was sentenced to two years supervised probation, and nearly $3,000 in fines. Judge Eric Johnson declared him a convicted felon.

UPDATE: Dec. 11, 2023 - Myers’ arraignment today was postponed to January 8th, 2024 in Denver District Court, Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse, Courtroom 4G at 8:30 a.m. There is live-streaming. (Many cases are scheduled for 8:30, so he may not appear before the judge until after 8:30 a.m.) He has been charged as “Stephen Jackson”, case number D162020CR5061. UPDATE: Nov. 17, 2023 - Myers was arrested on two counts of insurance fraud (Class 5 Felony in CO) and one count of theft. He spent one night in jail; he is out on bond. He is being prosecuted by the Attorney General’s office and his arraignment is December 11, 2023 in Denver District Court, Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse, Courtroom 4G at 8:30 a.m. There is live-streaming. (Many cases are scheduled for 8:30, so he may not appear before the judge until after 8:30 a.m.) He has been charged as “Stephen Jackson”, case number D162020CR5061.

UPDATE July 2023 - Another former student (see post below) from Mountain Vista H.S. reported that Myers regularly paid special attention to boys, running his fingers through their hair, and rubbing their shoulders. This student also recalls Myers saying he wanted to teach from a book about a bisexual poet who was in a relationship with a younger male, but the book fell into the “banned literature” category. This student confirmed last month’s report that male students felt uncomfortable around Myers and thought he might be a pedophile.

UPDATE June 2023 - A former student of Myers from Mountain Vista H.S. (2008) reported that Myers made many students feel uncomfortable, and that it was well known that he made freshman boys undress in front of him and the class as a form of "punishment". Students did a simple google-search of Myers and easily found articles reporting alleged child sexual abuse conduct. They reported what they found to school administrators and Myers left the school.

UPDATE April 2023 - An online advertisement on the Tower of English website was found indicating Myers/Jackson may be trying to find students to tutor in the Denver area. Myers/Jackson has provided tutoring services in his past, and at least one tutored student reported unwanted and abusive sexual experiences initiated by his tutor, Myers/Jackson.

UPDATE March 2023 - A new report is in from a former student of Myers/Jackson in 2003-05 at American International School in Cape Town. It was reported that Myers/Jackson (he called himself “Steve Swarup” while teaching here) encouraged boys to wrestle shirtless then photographed them; encouraged a boy to give his report in front of the class in his underwear; and was thought by a group of boy students to be a child molester. It’s possible a complaint was filed with the school and/or law enforcement.

UPDATE February 2023 - Five former students of Myers/Jackson, from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, are plaintiffs in a civil lawsuit against Myers for child sexual abuse. An article was published in the San Jose Mercury News, “Lawsuits link long-ago child abuse to schools in San Jose, Mountain View, and Santa Cruz”. Thanks to California Bill 218, survivors of decades-old child sexual abuse were given a three year window in which to hold their perpetrators accountable in civil court. Statutes of limitations had previously disallowed this type of civil suit.

UPDATE October 2022 - We are actively contributing to efforts by law enforcement to hold him accountable for his crimes against children, and we are steadfast in our commitment to continue to seek justice on behalf of survivors of his sexual abuse, and to prevent further abuse.

UPDATE July 2022 - In the last few months five more men have come forward to tell their experiences of unwanted and/or abusive sexual experiences initiated by Myers/Jackson which happened when they were underage boys. The crimes occurred in California, Colorado, and Massachusetts, between the 1980’s and early 2000’s.

UPDATE March 2022 - We received information from a former student of Myers/Jackson when he was teaching in South Africa in 2003-05 at American International School Cape Town (AISCT) under the name “Steven Swarup”. This man reported that Myers/Jackson had a closet in his classroom (large and with windows, however still a closet) which he would use for private one-on-one conversations. He also said Myers/Jackson told his class that he had been successful in tempting one of the neighborhood children into his house by using his Corgi dog, named Biko.

UPDATE: August 2021 - A new police report is being filed by a man who alleges he was a victim of extensive and ongoing child sexual abuse by Myers/Jackson. At the request of the victim, the time period and school location are being kept confidential. Myers’/Jackson’s crimes against this person fall within the statutes of limitation for that particular jurisdiction.

We are committed to the pursuit of justice for those who have had their lives irrevocably impacted by unwanted and/or abusive sexual behavior by Myers/Jackson when they were minor boys. UPDATE March 2019 - A complaint against Jackson was filed with the Denver Police Department when Jackson solicited the family of a minor boy to hire that boy for photographic modeling. At the time, Jackson was working at a Barnes & Noble in Denver.

UPDATE Nov. 2, 2018: New allegations of unwanted and abusive experiences initiated by Jackson against minor boys. Jackson was found teaching at QSI School in Astana, Kazakhstan, where a male student reported inappropriate and unwanted physical contact by Jackson, the description of which constitutes sexual assault, and matches past descriptions of molestation by other survivors of his abuse. A group of male students also reported that Jackson directed them to undress in front of him. Jackson was forced to leave the country. More updates from Kazakhstan below.

UPDATE Nov. 6, 2018: Prior to teaching at QSI in Astana, Kazakhstan, Jackson was a teacher at QSI in Dongguan, China from January to June 2018. This was confirmed by a staff member at QSI Astana, as well as by former students in Dongguan.

UPDATE DECEMBER 2018: We are extremely saddened by the loss of our dear friend and a survivor of Jackson’s abuse (name withheld for privacy) who died from complications of substance abuse. He was a courageous hero in our pursuit of justice and will be deeply missed.

UPDATE: Nov. 22, 2017 - It is discovered that Stephen Swarup Jackson had been teaching 11-14 y/o boys at a school in England from June to late September, 2017, when his employment was terminated. A complaint was filed against Jackson with government officials. 

UPDATE: Nov. 4, 2017 - A man reports being made to share a bed with Myers/Jackson on an overnight field trip in the late 1960's when he was 11 years old and Myers was his teacher.
